SWISS-2DPAGE

The Make2ddb package lets you easily create a 2-DE database on your Web server, with search functions, such as by accession number, by description, by author, and by clicking on a spot, similar to SWISS-2DPAGE.
Available for Solaris and Irix workstations.
Some 2-DE databases constructed with Make2ddb:
(current version: 2.50) is the expansion of the first Make2ddb package.
It converts federated 2-DE datasets from many formats (text, CVS, flat file, XML) into relational format.
It also creates new relational databases from scratch.
In addition to extended search capabilities, it automatically gathers related data from external sources and offers easy data visualization.
Due to its concept, it also allows the interconnection between any number of remote databases built with the same tool.
Its Web interface can easily access several local databases/projects simultaneously, as well as linking itself to any number of remote 2-DE data resources, making distributed databases act as one single virtual 2-DE database.
Experimental data can also be linked to any approriate repository or to any local document.
Finally, even with no personal data, one can easily build up a personalized Web portal accessing many data resources from one single entry point.
The tool is working on almost any UNIX-type workstations (Linux, Solaris, Irix..).
